Australia New Zealand Rugby Wine Dinner 2009
The Crystal Palace, Luna Park recently hosted the Australia New Zealand Rugby & Wine Dinner to assist the Sir David Martin Foundation.
Master of Ceremonies kicked off the evening by introducing wine makers Clive Weston (Nautilus Estate NZ) and Virginia Willcock (Vasse Felix Aust.) as they went head to head over the merits of the Australian and NZ wines.
To give the dinner its Rugby flavour, former All Black World Cup captain, David Kirk and Wallaby Jason Little, discussed the merits of both teams in the recent Bledisloe Cup game in Sydney. Assistant Wallaby Coach, Jim Williams a strong supporter of the Sir David Martin Foundation made a surprise appearance at the dinner and gave a fabulous insight into the build up to the game.
